>   Dunbrody Visitor Centre

Clancy Construction have recently completed construction on the new Dunbrody Visitor Centre. The new centre sits on, and indeed over, the quays of the river Barrow in New Ross, co. Wexford. This €2.6M project was carried out under the supervision of contract manager Pat Phelan. The centre houses a state-of-the-art exhibition on Irish emigration along with genealogical resources for people in search of their Irish heritage.
This project involved the construction of a two storey extension to the existing building. The extension, part of which protrudes over the river Barrow, is 1500 square metre in size. The build incorporated marine piling and innovative use of pre-cast concrete in order to successfully complete this challenging project.
The new visitor centre was opened on Friday the 8th of July by Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport, Dr Leo Varadkar TD & dancer Michael Flatley.
